Weather for Saturday is looking cloudy, but dry with pretty high freezing levels. I know a fair bit of snow fell last night, but I'm hoping that's going to be fairly well melted out by Saturday and would like to try to get one more scramble in before the snow really starts falling.

Current ideas (open to discussion):

1. Morning Star Peak (Mtn. Loop): 3rd class, some bushwhacking.
2. Stillaguamish Peak (Mtn. Loop): 3rd class, minimal bushwhacking.
3. White Chuck Peak (Mtn. Loop): 3rd/4th class, minimal bushwhacking.
4. Hidden Lakes Peak (Cascade River Road): 2nd class (?), no bushwhacking
5. Del Campo Peak (Mtn. Loop): 3rd class, no bushwhacking (great climb, but I've done it a number of times)

All of these are going to be fairly strenuous round trips with the amount of light we have this time of year and will probably involve a bit of snowy/icy scrambling. This is not a good trip for anyone who has never gone scrambling before. I'm looking for people that are in solid condition and have a bit of scrambling experience under their belts.

Given the loose rock on these peaks and possibility of party-inflicted rock fall, I'm going to cap the total party size at a pretty low number.

We'll be departing Seattle around 6am Saturday morning and returning in the evening, probably around 9pm (including a stop for dinner).

You will need:
- ten essentials (including headlamp)
- boots

Not enough snow yet to warrant an ice axe or snowshoes and if there's enough ice to warrant crampons, we won't be summiting due to exposure.

If this sounds appealing to you, please respond with which of the five options you'd prefer and whether you can drive or need a ride.

If you haven't done any scrambling with me before, send me a PM separately giving me some idea of what you've done that would be comparable to this. If I don't think this is a good match, don't take it personally, I'm just trying to avoid having you trundle a rock on me.

Yes! I will gladly be able to participate.

No preference on where

I can drive but prefer not to (I have been meaning to take my car into the shop for a persistent problem)

I'm in for a scramble.

I can have the truck if necessary.

Without the benefit of Becky with me here are some ideas or seconds...

Cadet Peak (anything in the Monte Cristo group would be cool)
White Chuck
Hidden Lakes Peak (hard to resist anything on the cascade river road)
Colonial Peak?
Big Snow Mountain?
Anything in the Stuart Range...

I'm not opposed to anything that requires a rope...
