I am thinking of something a little different for this Saturday - a bike trip to Woodinville's beers and wines.

The classic ride follows the Burke Gilman and Sammamish trails around Lake Washington to Woodinville's cluster of wineries and the Redhook Brewery. It is a flat 32 mile round trip from the UW.

The highlights would be touring the Red Hook Brewery (12,1,2,3,4,5pm, $1, minors welcome) and the Chateau Ste-Michelle Winery (10-5, no cost). We could either find food there, or bring a picnic to enjoy along the Sammamish river or on the Chateau Ste-Michelle grounds.

Most of the happenings are from 12-4pm, so I'd propose a 10am departure from the UW. Since I live farther north, I'd meet up with folks at Magnuson Park.

Sounds interesting...need to chat with the wife

Edit: We are interested in going, count the two of us in. We are also farther north, but ride slow, so we'll start a little late up at 145th or so.

We are up for picnic or food at Redhook, although the brewery will be busy I suspect.

I vote for a picnic as it should be an outrageously beautiful day.

Brian - it is the three of us so far. Let's plan on touching base tomorrow. Meet up around 10:30am at 145th & Burke?
