RUSH: When the good times begin
FAQS About Chi Sigma Alpha Rush:
Q. When is the
next Rush?
We will be rushing our Zeta Class in the beginning of October of 2005! Be sure
to look out for us at the University of Washington, Seattle campus, or
E-MAIL US
and ask for more information!
Q. What is Rush and
how long does it last?
Rush is a process for all interested ladies at the University of Washington to
come out and meet the active members of the sorority and find out what the
sorority is about. Rush lasts for about a week and is best if rushees attend all
rush events so that they become familiar with the actives and what the sorority
is all about.
Q. How often is rush
for Chi Sigma Alpha held?
Two rushes are held per year. There is a fall rush and a winter rush where
interested girls have chances to join the sorority.
Q. What is a bid and
what happens if I recieve one?
A bid is an invitation by a fraternity or sorority to pledge for that certain
organization. If given a bid, the choice is yours for whether you want to accept
it or not to become a pledge.
Q. Will rush cost
anything?
All rush events are free and provided for by the sorority.
Q.
I noticed this is an Asian American interest sorority. Do I have to be of Asian
ethnicity in order to rush/join?
Absolutely not! While most members of Chi Sigma Alpha currently are of Asian
ethnicity, the group is diverse and does not prejudice against any ethnicity,
race, religion, or other denominations of people. As an Asian American interest
sorority, we help the Seattle community as a whole with our philanthropy but
place more emphasis on helping out the Asian American community.
