Thank you for deciding to become a member of University of Washington’s (UW) Black Student Union (BSU) for the 2010-2011 School Year! BSU was formed on January 6, 1968 for the purpose of establishing a cohesive union of black students, faculty, other black organizations, and the community to facilitate educational opportunities. Over the years, BSU has grown in various ways, and this year is no different. We are working toward a goal of Inclusion of all black students on our campus with various events and programs, enabling educational, social, and political growth of our members. We are also working toward unity all across our UW community.


Membership Dues – $15 Annual Membership Fee, which entitles you to:

  • Official BSU binder containing History, Constitution and Roberts Rules
  • Membership Card
  • Official BSU T-Shirt
