Will it ever happen?
I hope so. They have a ballistics/explosives unit, right? So I've got it narrowed down between forensics, criminal profiling and ballistics. Well, maybe narrowed isn't the right word. Seems like it may in fact be the only good job that doesn't consist of just sitting in a cublicle all day. To me, nothing could be quite as exciting as hunting other people. Every other trade could be mastered and would eventually become boring. People, however are so unpredictable - there's always a new challenge . There's nothing worse than being expected to do meaningless, repetitive work (hmm, sounds like school) all day long.There could be a problem. Newsday reports the Bush admin is getting ready to kick all the liberals out of the CIA. ( Bush to Purge CIA ) Well that's been a trend for the whole government, and the FBI is gonna get slapped around as well. You'd think most people would take a hint when the CIA thinks you're full of shit. But no, Bush is just going to fire anyone who disagrees with him. Sounds like Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia, or maybe the beginning of the American INGSOC party.
In other news: I registered for winter quarter this morning. AA 210, ENGL 111, MATH 307, MATH 308. And that's Aeronautics and Astronautics, not Alcoholics Anonymous. So I went back to sleep after registering and had this crazy dream. I was at home in camas - it must have been New year's eve or the 4th of July or something since I was having a fireworks fight with the neighbor. Anyway, some triangular UFOs came and started circling around all crazy-like until one of them stopped and hovered over me. I looked up, expecting to see the white light as in the typical movie scenario, but instead there was a camera lens dialing in on me. And then a capacitor noise and flash! I'm awake and the alarm is going off. What the hell??
