Mission

Mission Statement

Cumulative efforts and ideas of countless graduate and undergraduate students are embodied in three underlying goals of the Biomedical Engineering Society at the University of Washington (BMES):

  1. to create dynamic programs that help students interested in bioengineering in taking their “next steps” in life, both professionally and personally
  2. to serve as a central hub by uniting graduate and undergraduate students interested in bioengineering with other students, faculty members, and local and national community members and professionals, and
  3. to train students in leadership by creating programs led by *students*
