Program Committees
BMES “next step” professional development
programs are based on the fact that students interested in bioengineering often
follow one of three career paths: Academia, Industry, or Medicine. Our
professional development committees hence focus on building opportunities for
students to explore each of these fields. BMES personal development programs are
equally important. We enthusiastically welcome the strong traditional social
programming developed in BESA and UBES into the Graduate Student Affairs (GSA)
and Undergraduate Student Affairs (USA) committees of BMES. Outreach and
Minority/Underrepresented Student Affairs committees complete our personal
development programming by encouraging students to participate in their greater
community.
