ResearchI am a master's student in electrical engineering. Briefly, with Dr. Scott Hauck I am researching the use of FPGAs in Positron Emission Tomography, and increasing their effectivity. I am excited to have the opportunity to be a student here at UW. Please don't hesitate to contact me. A link to my email can be found at the bottom of the page.
ExperienceI graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 2006 with a B.S in E.E. For my senior project I worked with my fellow class mates and Pico Computing based in Seattle to develop a PCI express card that included ethernet, DDR2 ram, among other interfaces. I then worked at Garmin AT in Salem Oregon for four years. This branch of Garmin focused primarily retrofit avionics. My work included research and implementation of touch panel hardware in one of the first retrofit aviation capacitive touch panels, in the GTN series products, including the GTN750. Other work included designing various FPGA blocks for products, in house test equipment, and writing tests, and requirements for these various blocks.
About meSome more personal information: I am also recently married to my lovely wife Megan. We enjoy hiking and cooking together. Another hobby of mine is homebrewing beer, and beer tasting. I recently built a kegerator and programmable temperature controller.
