Whether you are interested in Information Architecture, User Experience, User-Centered Design, Librarianship, or something akin to all of the above, this is an amazing opportunity to network and make professional connections. Can't make it? No worries- a meet-up is arranged every month by professionals (primarily iSchool alums!), and we will let you know as they come up.

Now that Info Camp is over, come meet your friendly ASIS&T UW chapter officers this Friday from 4-6pm at Big Time Brewery on the Ave.
Learn about who we are and what events we are planning to hold this year. Or, if nothing else, stop by for a free drink! (we will pay for the first round)
9:00 am to 5:00 pm
InfoCamp is an un-conference about user experience, information architecture, user-centered design, librarianship, information management & related fields.
At InfoCamp, most sessions are given by the participants (that means you). But to kick things off, we're bringing in a couple of speakin' superstars! This year, our keynote speaker on Saturday will be Axel Roesler, and our plenary speaker on Sunday will be Vanessa Fox. Cost is $50 for general public, $10 for students, FREE to volunteers. Space is limited.

As budding information professionals, we
know how easy it is to get "overwhelmed" when transitioning into a new,
information-rich environment. Come to this ASIS+T sponsored
workshop/discussion to learn (and share) some simple, practical ways of
coping with this challenge, particularly as new iSchool students. The
main focus of this event will be technology-related tips, tricks, and
troubleshooting. RSVP here: https://catalysttools.washington.edu/webq/survey/andrewoc/83997
5:30 pm to 7:30 pm
If you are interested in interaction design, now is your chance to see first hand how a local firm is using an integrated team approach on experience design projects that span brand strategy, print, digital and environmental installations.
Join us next week for a visit to Hornall Anderson, a local design agency (http://www.hornallanderson.com/).
We will tour the design studio with Nathan Young, a 2003 alumni of the Informatics program, and meet an enthusiastic team of designers and developers who will share some of their current work and talk with us about life after graduation.
When: Wednesday May 6th, 5:30 pm
Where: Pioneer Square (710 2nd Ave, Suite 1300)
