asterisk2007. I'm currently working with Emily Bender on an implementation of the LinGO Grammar Matrix, a framework based on Head-Driven Phrase Structure Grammar, for a precision grammar of American Sign Language. This is an especially interesting pursuit for the devices HPSG provides, as a constraint-based approach, to understanding "spatial" agreement, as well as prosodic constraints on ASL structure, and, ultimately, a broader coverage of prosody crosslinguistically.

asterisk2006. The implementation of Ed Stabler's Minimal (or Merge) Grammar for parsing non-manual markings in American Sign Language as abstract heads. The significance of this is a novel processing model that captures derivations within the Minimal Program for multiple modality domain interactions on the phrasal level.
