Contemporary Accounting Forum
This year’s Contemporary Accounting Forum (CAF) is on Corporate Social Responsibility and Reporting.
We will be hearing from experts in the field on what it takes to report on important financial and non-financial factors that ensure long-term sustainability in the global marketplace.

Description
The purpose of this position is to provide center level accounting support to ensure department goals and objectives are achieved, in alignment with DaVita’s Mission and Core Values. This includes accounting for development projects, fixed assets, inventory, medical director fees, leases, subleases, revenue analysis, and preparing financial reports for field operations management and joint venture partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Center accounting responsibilities for development projects, fixed assets, inventory, medical director fees, leases and subleases and other ad hoc items.
General ledger functions such as journal entry preparation, account analysis and account reconciliation.
Financial reporting and partnership accounting and reporting responsibilities.
Responsible for training and reviewing the work of other staff accountants, as assigned.
Develop and implement new accounting processes.
Prepare communications such as memos, presentation charts, and process documentation, and coordinate with other departments, business offices and field operations.
Make recommendations to management and responsible for day-to-day decisions concerning the accounting treatment of financial transactions.
Other duties as assigned.

DaVita is offering two year rotational leadership opportunities in the Accounting/Finance and Revenue Operation departments at our Business Office located in downtown Tacoma, Washington. These opportunities will give you a chance to participate in support activities associated with the various departments while also gaining leadership training and exposure. You will learn how the specific departments within a Fortune 500 company interrelate, how to develop and lead teams and what financial accounting and reporting issues a publicly traded international company faces.
During the two year program, potential departments you will rotate through include the following:

Qualifications
You will need a Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, General Business or Healthcare and at least an overall GPA of 3.5. You must have demonstrated leadership skills, at least intermediate proficiency in Excel and Word, be capable of performing analytical procedures, have superstar written and oral communication skills and be a team player. Completion of 10+ credits of Accounting required and 6+ months business experience. If you meet these qualifications, we want to hear from you!
