Attendees: Abby Bass, Carolyn Dunford, Woods Fairbanks, Jane, Spencer Lamm, Rose McLendon, Melinda (Mindy) Snarr, Michelle Vallance, Linda Wagner
- Sandra Kroupa’s Distance Residency Talk provided a great opportunity for Distance Students to connect with each other. Attendees were enthusiastic and enthralled with Kroupa’s presentation.
- Randall Jimerson / Sarah Nelson Talk: Woods will see if Rand Jimerson is available to speak on Tuesday, May 9th at 5:30 pm. He will first check MGH 420’s availability. Rose will contact Sarah Nelson (NARA) to ascertain her availability. A second option is Monday, May 8 at the same time.
- Music Archiving Panel: Regarding a third panelist in addition to John Gibbs and John Seman, Spencer reported that Eric Carnell of LoudEye is interested in participating. LoudEye houses the nation’s largest digital music archive. Spencer will confirm that all panelists are available on Tuesday, May 2, at 3:00 pm. APC members are asked to send 2-3 questions for the panelists to Spencer so that the discussion may be structured. Regarding publicity, Rose will get contact information for the School of Music. Flyers should be posted throughout the school of music, iSchool, Parnassus (School of Art’s café), etc.
- APC Elections: Rose and Carolyn will represent APC at the information session scheduled for Tuesday, April 18, at noon in the iSalon to answer any questions for those interested in becoming an APC officer.
- Urban Archives talk: Abby mentioned that Tom D. may indeed be available to talk about the Urban Archives project.
- Next APC General Meetings are scheduled for May 8, 11 am, in MGH 310D
