The SAA-UW is hosting "Home Movies" Night to give UW Information School students a chance to exhibit home movies and watch their fellow colleagues' movies. UW Special Collections Film Archivist, Hannah Palin, will introduce the program and provide an overview of important things to know about preserving and caring for film and other moving image media. UW iSchool students will show and comment on personal films. SAA-UW welcomes a special guest, UW Information School alumnus Michael Rene Wood, who will show examples of home movies from his collection of 8mm films.
Rarely-seen selections from UW Special Collections will also be featured:

- Seattle Area Archivist's Fall Meeting is at NARA Pacific-Alaska Region. Guest speaker will be Scott Cline, of Seattle Municipal Archives, who will present his paper titled "'To the Limit of Our Integrity': How We Do Our Work," The meeting is on October 23 and will run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.,
