Amber (Stover) Parson's Web Page
Welcome!
Amber's Home Page

Hey, I'm Amber Parsons. Well, that's not entirely true. I got married September 1, 2007 (still sunburned from my honeymoon in Hawaii!) and haven't had a chance to officially change my name yet. Most people still know me as Amber Stover.

I am a second year QERM student here at UW. What is QERM, you ask? Quantitative Ecology and Resource Management. Yeah, try saying that 10 times fast! Basically, it means I do a lot of statistics and I hope to apply them to the outdoor world after I graduate. Specifically, I'd like to do research pertaining to sustainable marine agriculture. (Call me Hermione Granger if you like...I just have a thing for complicated sounding fields of study, I guess.)

Currently, my work involves assessing the validity of all the different methods people are using/have used to count how many salmon come back to spawn every year. I'm really looking forward to getting my feet wet in this fall's salmoniod physiology class!

If you'd like to get ahold of me, my email will remain as is: amber11@u.washington.edu
