Students from all majors are encouraged to attend meetings and become part of AMA. In order to become an official member of the American Marketing Association, students must fill out an application and pay dues to the national chapter, as well as a $10 fee to the UW chapter. The UW chapter fee supports AMA club events. Students also have the option to join the Puget Sound AMA, which is an additional $5.
Affiliation with the National and Puget Sound AMA organizations allows students to access their job site as well as admission to many of their networking events. This membership also includes a monthly subscription to Marketing News. This magazine provides industry information, trends, and current events.

This year we are introducing the option of joining only the UW Chapter. This choice would eliminate the national and Puget Sound membership fees, leaving only the dues for the UW Chapter ($10); however, students would not get any of the national membership benefits. But an UW membership will grant students access to the AMA meetings and mailing list. This list will enable students to receive emails about upcoming opportunities such as jobs and internships.
