Our Mission:
The American Marketing Association involves people who study and teach marketing. Our principal roles include numerous activities:
We advance the thought, application, and ethical practice of marketing.We facilitate student involvement with the UW and surrounding communities. We empower students with an interest in marketing through information, education, relationships and resources. Background Information:
The American Marketing Association UW Collegiate Chapter is a student run organization on campus that explores the field of marketing. We are looking for new opportunities and ways in which the club can learn more about marketing and the opportunities it can offer us as students or graduates.Meetings include speakers from various positions in the marketing field, and they often explain their roles in the marketing community. Our meetings present excellent networking opportunities through our cooperation with the UW MBA and the Puget Sound AMA. We currently work with these organizations to create educational and beneficial experiences for our members.
Our collegiate chapter at the UW stems from the national American Marketing Association, which has been around for more than 60 years and has more than 38,000 members worldwide. You can find out more information about them on their website at www.marketingpower.com. You can also visit the local AMA chapter, Puget Sound AMA, at www.psama.org. These websites will provide an overview of their activities and upcoming events.
