Blast from the Past

Compiled and written by Mark Bardsley, MLIS Day

This month's blast comes from the November, 1994 issue of the "Sojourner", the forerunner to today's Silverfish.

Many second year students have begun their job search. Some already have jobs. You might not know that, though, because they don't gloat (at least not effectively). According to Susan Smith, if you landed a job, you should explain your new air of confidence and interminable smile. Show less humility, and whatever you do don't blame it all on luck. Who knows, maybe your success story will lift the confidence of a colleague.
