February is here, and that means many of us will be graduating soon and looking for employment. The American Library Associaton reports that there's currently a shortage of librarians in the profession. However, if you spend a little time on listservs like newlib-l you'll quickly get the impression that what this really means is that there's a shortage of experienced librarians. A lot of job postings list required experience including more than 2 years in a library, a second masters degree, and so on. What's a student to do?

Well, there are entry-level positions available, and luckily we're in this profession because we love research. This article will give you a leg up on the resources you need to begin or continue your search for the perfect library job. A great starting point is the iSchool's Career Resources page.
