Friday, January 5, 2007, 7:00 p.m.

Members Present: Amy Donahue, Sarah Evans, Laura Horne, Teresa McElhiney, Tammy Salman, Jen Sullivan

·        iCareer Week: Tammy reported that planning for iCareer Week is progressing well.  ALISS is sponsoring several panels, including one on resume writing.

·        ALISS Book Sale: Jen reported that book sale plans are in full swing.  Donations are currently being solicited.  Amy Donahue is serving as Volunteer Coordinator and Laura Horne as Publicity Coordinator.

·        Winter Quarter Residency Week: Teresa reported that residency week went well.  The workshops were great, despite being under attended.  This was attributed to the extra day of residency and returning from the holidays.

·        ALISS Website: Tammy and Laura continue to discuss and brainstorm ideas for the website.  These include adding a navigation bar using CSS.  They would also like to update/fix file locations (Sarah will find and resend the guiding document) and survey use of the website.  The officers also discussed the possibility of setting up a MLIS Go Post board.

·        Additional ALISS Business: We only have nine weeks left as officers… time flies!  Elections for 2007-08 will be held this quarter.  Officers agreed publicist position will continue (marketing/PR/email account management).  The alumni representative will have the additional responsibility of serving as webmaster.  It is important to begin talking about the election with continuing students.  Laura and Tammy will clean out the H drive.  Sarah will revise the ALISS Constitution to be voted on in conjunction with elections.  Jen will clean out the email account.

·        Winter Quarter Open Meeting: This is tentatively scheduled for the first week of February.  Marie, Joe, and/or Matt will attend.  There will also be an Open House prior to the meeting, similar to last quarter.  Sarah will send additional details.
