Why AKPsi Rho Chapter?
Alpha Kappa Psi was founded on the principles of educating its members and the public to appreciate and demand higher ideals in business and to further the individual welfare of members during college and beyond. Alpha Kappa Psi provides valuable educational, friendship and networking opportunities.
The Rho Chapter is amongst the largest and finest Registered Student Organizations (RSO) in the Foster School of Business. Each quarter, we host a series of professional events, perform community service, and fun social events!
Alpha Kappa Psi more than just “a club.” Being part of Alpha Kappa Psi means begin part of an amazing network— within the Foster School of Business, across the nation, and around the globe.
What is Rush?
Rush is our recruitment period. Twice a year, fall quarter and spring quarter, the Rho Chapter hosts rush events to give candidates (“rushees”) a chance to meet the active brothers, ask questions, and learn more about the fraternity.
Alpha Kappa Psi is open to students of all majors that have an interest in business. Freshmen are eligible to rush.
What are the Rush requirements?
Each rushee must attend an info session and the mandatory ice cream mixer. This gives you the chance to learn more about the fraternity as well as for the brothers to get a chance to meet and assess each of you.
In addition, each rushee must submit an application and provide a copy of their resume. More details and necessary paperwork will be provided at the info session.
Please see the schedule of events for dates, times, and locations.

What is a bid?
If you complete the rush requirements, the Rho Chapter might extend an invitation to invite you to become a pledge. This invitation is known as a bid. By accepting the bid, you start the pledge process, which prepares you for full initiation into the fraternity.
What is the Pledge process?
The pledge process begins with an Induction ceremony, evening of Thursday, Oct 15th. Details will be made available to those given bids.
Weekly Pledge Meetings will be held on Tuesdays. Business Casual attire is required. AKPsi's pledge process is intense, challenging and entirely worth the effort. During the quarter you will learn an exceptional amount about the fraternity, its members, and most of all, yourself, as you are immersed in brotherhood, professionalism, and hard work.
