Nat_Issues] Help: Movie & Articles on Historical Trauma needed if you know of any good 1' s

Whats up Jon,

& whats up native issues and NASAAers (its been a while...kinda miss being a student)

I have a request for you if you have the time???!!! I am going to be starting up a course, that I will be teaching and creating at NWIC (North West Indian College). It is going to be about historical traumas to indian peoples and the rippling effects that have transferred down thru the generations and currently affect our communities and families of today. Stuff about boarding schools, assimilation, sterilization, extermination, sexual abuse of/to indian people.

And I am looking to find movies to show during class time (you tube clips would be good too) and articles... whatever, the more thoughts the merrier!

This will be the first time that I have ever taught a college course, and I am a bit scared, very excited and overall wow'd by the whole idea.

If you have any ideas that would be great!! I know a lot of you are probly myspacers, if you want to forward me any clips - that way might be easier... you could use my other email address to find me shaleenab@lummi-nsn.gov whatever is easier for you would be great! Thanks,
