AIChE at UW is a student organization comprised of Chemical Engineering undergraduates dedicated to fostering a sense of community within the department. Our mission is to provide team-building activities, academic resources, and opportunities for students to grow both academically and professionally.
What is Chemical Engineering?
Chemical Engineering is the study of process mechanics. We apply the principles of science, math, and economics to convert raw materials into valuable products. Chemical Engineering is commonly referred to as process engineering. Chemical Engineers typically work in fields related to large scale production.
