Membership
Potential AED members are required to fill out an application and go through an interview process with one of the officers during AED officer hours.
AED officer hours can be found here. Please contact the officer that fits your time schedule and set up an appointment. Also, please attach your form of payment to the application and put it in a sealed envelope

Additionally, AED members are raffled each quarter to win stethoscopes and taught to take vital signs by a medical student. Winners will be emailed by the second week of the quarter.

- Virgil L. Tweedie Scholarship ($5,000 - one)
- First Tweedie Scholarship - A Member Success Story
- Moore Scholarships ($1,500 - one awarded per region)
- AED Recognition scholarships ($1,000 - two to three per region)

Associate Membership
This one year, renewable membership fee of $25 entitles members to all of the services provided by our organization. Associate Members will be inducted into the Chapter and given a membership certificate. Associate members are entitled to almost all the same privileges as National Members. There are no grade point or credit requirements for Associate Membership. Anyone can apply.

National Membership
If you're interested in a lifelong AED National Membership recognized by the official AED National Office in Virginia, please read the description from the National Office for instructions how to be entered into the permanent AED registry of lifelong members:

All AED members are encouraged to list their membership and participation in the organization on their resume and applications. All members are inducted into the chapter during spring quarter. Members also receive discounts on all AED sponsored events and from some test preparation companies.
