AED Phlebotomy Class!



Come join Alpha Epsilon Delta (UW’s Pre-Health Honors Society) weekend phlebotomy class!

Enhance your future health careers by joining us for our super popular, intensive 2-day, weekend phlebotomy seminar in which you will:

•    Acquire a unique and invaluable skill set to enhance your future health career
•    Set yourself apart from other competing applicants (med school, nursing, EMT, PA, etc.)
•    Potentially open up additional student job and overseas opportunities for you in the healthcare field
•    Course integrates formal lecture and practical hands-on training instruction 
•    Learn and perform not only a successful blood draw, but a safe one
•    Understand both the ‘how’s’ and the why’s of drawing blood safely, proper technique and pain management
•    Progress at your own rate and skill level under direct supervision
•    Upon your successful completion of the class you will receive your certificate as a phlebotomy technician. No prior experience is required.

Class Date: Sat. and Sun. Feb 27th and 28th, 2010.
Class Times: 9am– approx. 5pm Saturday and Sunday (Saturday sign-in begins at 8:15am).
Class Location: HSB T-478
Class Registration: $75 (applied towards your registration).
Class Cost: Class Cost: $290 AED members OR $340 non-AED members (total cost and includes all study materials and registration fee; non-members can apply the non-member fee to an AED membership; lunch, snacks & refreshments provided by AED).

Registration Form: Print ONE of attached PDF. *IMPORTANT: submit only ONE form – AED OR non-AED form. Drop off your check WITH registration form in a sealed envelope to HUB SB-018 AED office. Slide under office door.

MCAT Auction!

Hey guys! Looking to take the MCAT soon? AED will be auctioning off one MCAT prep course from the Princeton Review (valued at $1799) to our highest bidding member! Take advantage of this great opportunity to secure an amazing test resource and save a ton of money!

We will be running our auction online starting Friday February 12th using our Catalyst GoPost page. On the 12th an auction page will become available through GoPost (link to GoPost available below). Bidding will continue for one week, until Friday February 19th and the last accepted bid will be at 11:59PM that night.

Auction Information and Rules:

1.) Only current AED Members are Eligible to Win
2.) To place your bid simply post into the appropriate GoPost page with your bid and name.
3.) The highest final bid before the close of our Auction (at 11:59PM on Friday February 19th) will be our winning bid.
4.) The winning bidder is obligated to pay the amount he/she posted in his/her winning bid.
5.) The winning bidder will be contacted through his/her UW email account upon the close of our auction
6.) The opening bid will be set to $500
7.) The MCAT prep-course is valid for one year, so make sure that you are planning to register for a course sometime in the near future!

Ice Cream Social to Kick off the 2009-2010 School Year!
