Biography
Alex Briseno was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He received his B.S and M.S from California State University, Los Angeles (Calstate LA). He began his research career with Feiming Zhou at Calstate LA and also conducted research in the lab of Professor Nathan S. Lewis at Caltech. In the fall of 2005, he completed his Master's in chemistry at UCLA with Professor Fred Wudl and Professor Zhenan Bao at Stanford University. He is currently supported by a fellowship from Bell Labs-Lucent Technologies in support of his Ph.D. study under the supervision of Professor Younan Xia. Alex is co-advised by Professor S. A. Jenekhe at UW and by Professor Zhenan Bao at Stanford. He is particularly interested in patterning organic single-crystal transistors and organic semiconductor nanowires for their applications as the next-generation materials for displays, flexible electronics, and optoelectronic devices.
